A Madman’s Diary


A new edition created after reading Lu Xun’s “A Madman’s Diary.” The conflict between the protagonist, who is consumed by the fear of being devoured, and those around him who regard him as a madman claiming that he will be eaten, evokes the dynamics redrof our society’s meat industry. It raises the question of whether the livestock we encounter daily at our dining tables live in constant fear of being slaughtered before they end up on our plates. The work captures the overall process of the meat industry through imagery.
